So cool! Whatever your hands find doing, do it,
Whatever your hands don’t find doing, create it.
In this world there is always a need to be filled, there is always something to do but most times the question is what’s the price, if you don’t find a price tagged job then dodge idleness by getting busy with whatever your hands find doing, which is creating a job. My pastor once said if there is nothing to do then get praying, there will be ENOUGH time for prayer, pray for everyone you know, pray for all the wrong you want changed, pray for your country, pray for your leaders, pray for the sick, helpless, pray for your friends.
there are so many wrongs that can keep you busy on your knees.
If we look around us, we have a lot of people that need JUST a person to talk to, those that checked out on life need the gift of hope ,some hard hearts need a kind heart to love them unconditionally, we need to wake up to this call ,that is more of a command to reach out, pulling up the perishing on the road to destruction, placing smiles on faces to encourage the orphans and widows in black, we are called to get busy, It must not be accompanied with millions in accounts, we can find where to start by getting a need filled,
Inventors filled a need that was seen or obvious; we could troubleshoot around us with good outcomes and fill it with our capabilities. Even With my little understanding of how business ideas come out, it is finding the need around and trying to solve the situation
In order to this we need to get rid of some factors in our lives,
Fear of past experiences:
We are so chained by the shackles of our pasts to a point of slavery, we cannot let go, the hurts that we went through, hurts from backstabbing dear ones, hurts from bankruptcy, hurt from jilted ones, hurts from marriages, we cling so much to the fact that we can be rejected again and we sit in our comfort zones, afraid to open our curtains for the fear of being seen again, we need to unlock this rusted padlocks and dare to take strides like men of valour and fill whatever needs we can fill,
most times God gives us challenging tasks that will make us stand and ask 'how possible is this', but if go in his might, things will flow accordingly ,
Abraham took his household and followed with trust in the almighty, one stride after the other and he was blessed ,God uses people like Gideon with past experience of failure ,those of us hiding in the threshing floor of fear, come out and shine .
It is not how you start but it is the finishing that counts, no matter how you were at the beginning of a race you will never get the trophy for starting, but it’s the end that justifies the means. Our tomorrow is sure to be beautiful with God on our side.
When all hell is set loose against you, it is an indication that God is about to do something big in your life. God finishes before he begins, he makes a way of escape. Take off the wrapping, God is with you.
Intimidation:
Circumstances shouldn’t define who we truly are; it’s the promise of God for our lives that best describes us and the bible called us men and women of valour. On seeing the intimidating sights around us, we are always tempted to withdraw into our shells and we pretend we never even had the desire to conquer, for instance a guy sees a beautiful woman, he wants to ask for a date, he shaved his beards clean, ironed his best clothing, groomed himself well and confidently showed up on seeing the woman , to his dismay, the woman asked if he is actually talking to her when it is so obvious, she proceeds to ask ‘ can I help you ?’ and suddenly he melts down to say ‘not actually’. May be I should give a personal example.
I was so confident, I packed some food stuff to give a certain woman that lives in a shack around the corner on our street, I was so happy within that I was helping ,you know that joy that bubbles within when you are giving a helping hand, she rejected my offer with capital No, I was damn surprised because I looked around and didn’t see an iota of affluence, I had to tip toe on some rocks to get there because it was waterlogged, poverty was written all over her shack, I only extended a hand of help but I was rejected with my gift and I stood there feeling alone and silly, she clearly said she needed no help, this made me to shut out many who I saw needed my help but thank God I eventually opened up, I felt intimidated and it stopped me from helping others who were really in need of my help and were willing to receive my assistance,
let us shake out this intimidation issue and do what we really are called to do. It could force us to isolation, let’s make use of this isolation for our own good because we usually here two voices when in isolation, one of the tempter discouraging us and reminding us of our failures and how small we really are ,then the second voice gives us identity when we have a relationship with God.
Fear of inadequacy:
Honestly speaking from many patriarchs of the bible, there is this common trend of them feeling real inadequate for the task ahead, we have Moses saying he stammers, we have Sarah laughing at the angel’s promise of a child at an old age, we see Gideon saying he is never been a warrior in his life, we have so many more names of inadequate people who turned out great with God.
We start assigning responsibilities to people because we think they are capable of doing it and at the end they don’t deliver as we thought they would. The fear of inadequacy should drive us to go extra mile to deliver. Let’s come out of hiding and shine.
God challenges you beyond your competencies, it is in you, let’s stop saying ‘God I can’t do it’
You are not going in your might just take a step like a toddler and when you stumble ,the great one will steady you like a father and his child, he knows us better than we know ourselves, our fears are not hidden from him.
The spirit of doubt:
Dwindling faith from too many delays gets us discouraged and doubts set in, we need to get rid of discouragement.
The fear of being husbands doesn’t stop us from going ahead with the proposals, the fear of being a mother doesn’t stop us from saying ‘I do’ and giving birth.
We find ourselves fighting strong during the day but terrified at night, encouraging and strengthening others but anxious and scared at night, just believe every word in the bible, like Abraham, keep going!
Building a hut is totally different from building an edifice, it takes lesser days to build the former, it takes no weight lifting vehicles, what God has in store for every one of us is greater than we can imagine. You are Terrified because the call is greater than you, hiding in the winepress like Gideon. But if God is before me, who can be against me, not just a thresher of wheat but a thresher of men, the spirit of doubt should be thrashed, let’s take the centre stage, our identity is in God, boldness, strength, grace in abundance to that which we are called to fill on this planet, let us do it while we are on his foot stool.
Remember, God has called you a mighty man of valour, a mighty woman of valour, what do you see?
